Williams Consulting LLC is owned and operated by Marcus Williams. Marcus is from Newark, New Jersey where he received hand on experience in business ownership from his grandfather, who owned, “McCall’s Plumbing” upon his passing, his father then took over the business, and Marcus became more hands on learning the ins and outs of business at an early age. Marcus, unfortunately would no longer be able to learn the business hands on any no longer as his mom and he left NJ to relocate to Goldsboro, North Carolina. While in NC, Marcus attended Goldsboro High School and took his first business class which furthered his interest in studying various areas of business; including, finance, accounting and marketing. Marcus upon graduating took a liking to finance and therefore went on to study Finance at East Carolina University in Greenville, NC. Upon graduating with his BSBA-Finance he landed his first job in management with a major textile company. Unfortunately, Marcus is no stranger to adversity as that job did not pan out due to economic collapse in 2008/2009. As a result, he relocated back to NJ where he completed work in the fields of outside sales, insurance, accounting and banking. Marcus then received a renewed sense of purpose by becoming a Registered Investment Advisor earning his Series 65 with a major advisory firm. Once more as things were going well, he was faced with adversity and let go for a 2nd time in his career. Marcus spent more time investing in himself by reading, attending seminars, weight training, and overall enhancing his mind and body. Here is where his purpose was redefined and the knowledge and tools learned from the family business, academic studies and professional experiences lead to the birth of Williams Consulting LLC. Through the business, Marcus plans to aid and inspire others to greatness.
